Having spent the last two years running social media for the Topeka Country Club (@topekacc on Instagram), I have learned a lot about analyzing trends and figuring out how best to use them. Understanding our audiences is key to successful marketing. We know that a majority of our members are pre-retirement or retirement age, but our target members (those who are more likely to be on social media too) are in their 30s or 40s. This makes our social media presence interesting as we are catering to two very different age groups. Knowing all this, I had studied how to build a voice via social media that is trustworthy and entertaining.
