A Topeka, Kansas native born in the year 2000, I work with digital full frame photography and enjoy experimenting with older digital point and shoots. My main focus right now is idiosyncrasies, a body of work that observes the bits of life that go unnoticed. This work follows an uncanny path that involves moments of confusion, blandness, reflection, and humor. The heart behind idiosyncrasies is its peculiar nature, why are these moments worth preserving?
I also do a lot of client work that has offered a lot of variety in my practice. A flower shop, hat company, an Airbnb, NIL companies, and a golf brand just to name a few.
I study photography and journalism at the University of Kansas. In 2018 I was a Nelson-Atkins Photography Scholar, which entails an eight week course where participants study photography and complete a project of their own to be hung in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. I am also currently a photo editor at the University Daily Kansan, a student-run newspaper at the University of Kansas. The UDK has given me many opportunities including traveling to and photographing the Men's Basketball NCAA Tournament, the Women's Basketball Big 12 Tournament, and the Liberty Bowl.
My work is currently based in North East Kansas while I finish my studies at KU, my expected graduation is May 2023.
